Wellsville/Communal
Wellsville's second annual Jingle & Glow holiday event has added two new sponsors: White Imprints and 93-5 the Genny. White Imprints will provide the signage for this year's event. Organizers say sponsorship spots for 2026 are still open to businesses and groups that want to take part.
Olean/Communal
Dr. Roberto Pili is bringing specialized prostate cancer care to Olean through a new Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic at the Barry Street Health Center, part of Olean General Hospital. The clinic's first session is scheduled for November 6. The clinic is meant to let local patients receive specialized treatment closer to home.
Allegany/Political
The Allegany town board has approved a local law that reduces the assessed value of disabled veterans' primary residences to zero for the purpose of town property taxes. The measure gives qualifying veterans relief on the town portion of their tax bills. Full eligibility details were not available in the report, so veterans should check with the town for how to apply.
